Welcome to MGSN Nagpur Branch

 

Nagpur city is another Capital of Maharashtra State. This city is well known as an orange city because of lot of orange gardens around. MGSN has a Branch office in Bajajnagar area of the Nagpur city. In the year 1962, Trust decided to establish one branch office in Nagpur.

                                                                                

                                                                             

                                                                      Infrastructure

Total area of MGSN is around 30,006 sq.ft. and total construction is 11,016aq.ft. There are 3 buildings namely ‘Gandhi Bhavan, ‘Kasturba  Bhavan’ and ‘ Sane Guruji Bhavan’. In this campus there is drama theater called ‘Tilak Sabhagruha’. There are 2 conference halls namely, ‘Sane Guruji hall which has 50 seats capacity and ‘Bharatmata Auditorium’ has 200 seats capacity. There is a guest house and kitchen attached to the Tilak Sabhagruha.

Kasturbha Bhavan :

MGSN Nagpur, branch office has three halls in ‘Kastruba Bhavan’ campus. Main hall known as Tilak Sabhagruh, Second is Sane Guruji Sabhagruh and Third is Bharat Mata Open Hall.

 

Tilak Sabagruh :

Tilak Sabhagruh is a Main Hall. In this hall there is one big stage with theatre facility, 500 fixed chairs with the acoustic, ventilation etc. This hall is available for stage shows, dramas, debate, workshop, conference, Annual meeting program. Sane Guruji Sabhagruh is second hall for 75 people. This hall is available for small group meeting, debate, workshop, conference, Annual meeting programs etc.

Bharatmata Sabhagruh is the third hall. This is open hall covered with metal sheets. Seating capacity of 150 people. This hall is also available for small group meeting, debate, workshop, conference, Annual meeting programs etc.

                                                                        History

In the year 1962, MGSN had decided to establish branch office in Nagpur. The First president of Trust late shri Mamasaheb Deogirikar took necessary steps and established branch office in Abhyankarnagar which is now known as Bajajnagar. After completion of construction of building known as Kasturba Bhavan was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Shri Yashwantrao Chavan. Late Shri Balasaheb Bharade second president of trust gave charge of branch office to Dr. Vasant Wankar who was resident of Nagpur. He established a Library in campus with the name Rajamata Jijabai wachnalaya & Granthalaya in 1986. Dr. Vasant Wankar was  trustee of MGSN. After demise of Dr. Vasant Wankar his wife Dr. Kusumtai Wankar became Trustee. Due to old age she resigned from Trusteeship of MGSN Mr. Sunil Patil is a joint Secretary of MGSN who manage daily administration of branch office as a Branch Secretary.
