Welcome to MGSN Chatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) Branch

Aurangabad is the historical city. This City was established by Mugul King Aurangazeb. After King Aurangazeb died, it was under the rule of Nizam of Hyderabad before Independence. Aurangabad City was a place of the Great gandhian follower like Govidbhai Sharof, Swami Ramanad Treeth. They fight against Nizam rule under Marathawada Mukti Andolan. Nizam’s rule was abolished by police action by Govt. of India. After Independence policy of state reformation was adopted. States were created on the basis of language. Marathwada region under Nizam was of Marathi speaking people included in Maharashtra.

In Aurangabad Zone huge Industrial Sector has been grown rapidly. In the emerging stage of this historical City our Institution was established in Samarth nagar area Aurangabad in 1962. Head office of the Institution have established in Pune and another branch office in Nagpur city of Maharashtra State.     

 

Infrastructure

Building is known as Gandhi Bhavan, Aurangabad. Gandhi Bhavan  is two floored building, comprising area of 3000 Sq. ft. of each floor. The ground floor, inter-alia containing a Conference Hall, Office Cabin, a Kitchen, two Guest Rooms and 7 rooms are developed as boys’ hostel. On 1st floor, a Library, a Study Room is created and 9 rooms are developed as Students’ Hostel.  The said boys’ hostel running in the premises is for the poor and needy students coming from draught and rural area of Marathwada. MGSN is charging very reasonabl rates.

 Hall

MGSN has two big halls at Gandhi Bhavan premises at Aurangabad. One hall is on ground floor and second hall is on first floor.

After decentralization it was decided by Nidhi to form State wise separate trusts. Independent trust bearing name Maharashtra Gandhi Smarak Nidhi was formed after completion of process of decentralization and MGSN owned this property. In 1962, Maharashtra Gandhi Smarak Nidhi decided to establish its branch office in Aurangabad. The first president of Maharashtra Gandhi Smarak Nidhi late Shri. Mamsaheb Devgirikar had taken all necessary steps and established a branch office in Samarth Nagar area. The said property initially was an open land, purchased by Marathwada Khadi and Gramodyog Samiti. The said property is situated at Survey No.17853, Samarth Nagar, Aurangabad comprising area of 22500 sq.ft. Building was named as Gandhi Bhavan, constructed by MGSN on the said land. The newly constructed Gandhi Bhavan was inaugurated on 2ndOctober 1964 by Shri Swami Ramanand Teerth.
