On July 18, 2026, Dr. Kumar Saptarshi passed away sadly at the age of 85. He was a former MLA, a senior Socialist leader, the founding President of Yuvak Kranti Dal, the founding President of the Indian Institute of Social Development and Research, the President of Maharashtra Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, and a Gandhian thinker.
