Programs and Celebration
MGSN celebrates 26 January- Republic Day every year by participating in National celebration. National Flag hoisting is conducted twice in a year, on 15th August and Republic Day every year. Office bearers and Trustees of MGSN and local people participate in these programs.
15th August celebration
MGSN celebrates 15th August Independence Day every year as a National festival. Flag hoisting by MGSN Trustee Members at Gandhibhavan Campus. MGSN employees, Campus Industry owners and workers, Students, Gandhian people and local people join and take part in program.
Maharashtra Gandhi Memorial Fund ( Mgs Nidhi ) Pune (Gandhi Bhavan) at the religious men and women attended the Iftar was organized by the Citizens Party.
MGSN has started youtube channel as ‘Satyagrahi’. Satyagrahi Channel will be a platform to comment on current social and political issues and current affairs through Gandhian thoughts.
Death Anniversary of Gandhiji
Every year on 30th Jan program is organized to pay homage to Father of Nation on the day of his assassination. In early morning ‘Sarva Dharma Prathana Sabha’ is held. Prayers of different religions are recited by their priests. After prayers of all religions Bhajans are recited.
Raksha Visarjan Din
According to Mahatma Gandhi’s wish immersion of his raksha (ash-after funeral) in all major Indian rivers was followed scrupulously. One of the Raksha Kalash (pot) was sent to Pune. Ashes were immersed in Indryani River at Alandi Village near Pune Cityon 12th February 1948. Small memorial ‘Rakasha Visarjan Stambh’ has been built on the bank of the river in the memory of Raksha Visarjan day. Every year on 12th February at ‘Rakasha Visarjan Stambh’ program is arranged in the memory of Raksha Visarjan.
Rashtrapita Mahatma Gandhi Saptaha & World Non-violence Day
From the year 2010 MGSN celebrate Gandhi Saptah Every year during 1st to 7th October. UNO has declared 2nd October as ‘World Non-Violence Day’. The Institution arranges various programs like Debate, Music, Play, Workshops, Movies, Documentary, Poetry reading, Prarthana Sabha, Peace March, Lectures etc.

MGSN organizes debate, workshops, lectures from time to time on the various topics like Social, Political, Economics, Gandhiji, Vinoba. These programs are open for all.
The road to a nuclear-weapons-free world will be long and bumpy, but those expected to take the initiative seem to have finally decided to lead.
